Description

Add a touch of whimsy and woodland elegance to your home with this one-of-a-kind hand-carved moose caricature by local woodworking artist, Guy Myers. Meticulously crafted from smooth, fine-grained basswood and brought to life with rich acrylic paints, this charming character sculpture depicts a dapper moose — dressed to the nines in a full suit — standing proudly between two trees. Equal parts regal and playful, he’s clearly the best-dressed guest in the forest. Standing 6" tall, this piece is perfectly sized for a mantel, bookshelf, office desk, or side table, where he’s sure to spark conversation and delight everyone who encounters him. Every curve and detail has been shaped entirely by hand, making this a truly unique work of folk art that cannot be replicated. Carved using a pattern designed by renowned woodcarver Mike Shipley, the finished sculpture reflects both the artistry of the original design and the considerable skill and patience of the carver. A wonderful addition to rustic, cabin, or nature-inspired décor — or simply an irresistible standalone collectible for the discerning art lover with an appreciation for fine craftsmanship and a sense of humor. Handmade and one-of-a-kind — no two carvings are ever exactly alike. Guy Myers is a local hobby woodworker with a passion for creating unique and whimsical carvings. His pieces are primarily for personal appreciation and gifts for family and friends, but he will, from time to time, consider custom requests.
