Parents of Welby Way is excited to invite you to our biggest event of the year—the GLOW Country Family Dance & Online Auction.

This year, we’re raising funds to support and sustain our Outdoor Classroom Garden Program, which is already enriching student learning every day.

With your support, we aim to raise $15,000 to cover the annual maintenance fees for our continued partnership with EnrichLA, a nonprofit dedicated to edible education.

Thanks to this program, Welby students have access to hands-on learning experiences that bring science, nutrition, and environmental education to life.

Thanks to our community, the funds raised from last year’s dance and auction made it possible to install our school garden and fund the first year of EnrichLA’s outdoor classroom curriculum.

Today, that garden is already part of our students’ everyday experience where they’re planting, exploring, and learning in a hands-on, meaningful way.

Proceeds from the GLOW Country Online Auction support Parents of Welby Way (POWW) in our mission to positively impact the lives of all students and families at Welby Way Elementary. Through your generosity, we’re able to create meaningful enrichment experiences, support our educators, and bring projects like the Outdoor Classroom Garden Transformation to life.

Auction Rules

Please take a moment to review our auction guidelines before placing your bids:

  • The online auction opens at 10:00 AM (PT) on Saturday, April 18, 2026 and closes promptly at 7:30 PM (PT) on Saturday, April 25, 2026.

  • Bidders must be 18 years of age or older to participate.

  • All sales are final. No exchanges or refunds unless otherwise stated. Items are offered “as is.” POWW has done its best to accurately describe all items, but is not responsible for discrepancies in descriptions or item conditions.

  • There is a 6% buyer's premium that will be added to each purchase.

  • Estimated values are based on fair market pricing.

  • Amounts paid may be tax-deductible as a charitable contribution. Please consult your tax advisor.

  • Bidding on an item multiple times is allowed (and encouraged)!
  • All bids and sales are final.

  • Payments must be completed within 24 hours of auction close. Payment can be made via Cash, Check, Zelle and Zeffy.

  • Items will be available for pickup after school on Friday, May 1, 2026 or as otherwise arranged by contacting Ilana Plotkin Schauer at (818) 331-4147; ilana@schauerlawgroup.com.

  • Unless otherwise arranged, if an item is not picked up by Friday, May 1, 2026, it may be offered to the next highest bidder.

  • Items are only available for pickup, and are not able to be shipped.

  • For items such as gift certificates, services, experiences, or camps, it is the responsibility of the winning bidder to contact the donor to redeem the item, following any instructions provided. POWW is not responsible for any failure by the successful bidder to utilize the item or services with the specified time period.

  • The Teacher Experience Fundraiser Draw, and related tickets, will be entirely online. Tickets can be purchased 1 for $5.00 or 5 for $20.00.

  • POWW reserves the right to add or remove items from the auction at any time.

  • By participating, all bidders agree to assume any and all risks related to auction items or experiences, and to hold harmless POWW, Welby Way staff, event organizers, volunteers, and donors from any liability related to the auction or items received.
