Hunt for a trophy Iowa whitetail deer without going through the normal non-resident draw process!
IOWA Special Non-resident Deer Tag Auction
Mid-Iowa Muskies is proud to offer a highly-desired Iowa Special Non-Resident Deer Tag. Iowa is considered by many to be one of the premier whitetail deer hunting destinations in the United States. The Hawkeye State is where whitetail dreams become reality and every year there are several bucks harvested over 200 inches. Getting a tag often takes many years. This is your opportunity to guarantee a tag and promote state and local conservation efforts through Mid-Iowa Muskies, in partnership with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
The buyer of the special nonresident deer license can choose the season they would like to hunt (Archery, Gun 1, Gun 2 or Late Muzzleloader) and can choose to use it this year or hold it over to the following year’s deer season. These licenses can be used statewide, so they do not need to indicate a specific zone. Additionally, the buyer of the license can choose to issue the license to another nonresident hunter.
Landowner permission would be required on private land. In addition to the winning bid, the high bidder will have to pay directly to the Iowa DNR the normal cost of the hunt & habitat fee of $144. Mid-Iowa Muskies will connect the winner directly with the Specialty License Manager at the Iowa DNR to complete the hunt & habitat fee and collect the Special Non-Resident Deer Tag.
For seasons and hunting information, go to: http://www.iowadnr.gov/
The auction will end on April 15th at 11:59 PM CST.
Proceeds from the auction will be used to fund research activities on Musky Stocking Programs in Central Iowa.
