Welcome to our Mochi Silent Auction Beach Day!

This event and silent auction supports Mochi, my amazing rescue pup. On December 7, 2025, she had her first episode of Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) and was given only 12-24 months to live. I learned about the opportunity for Mitral Valve Repair Surgery, a rare, life-saving open-heart surgery, that would enable her to survive long-term.

Only 5 hospitals in the world currently perform this procedure. We are scheduled for June 24th at Jasmine Animal Hospital in Japan, which has a 97.5% success rate and is leading the world in this surgery.

The surgery itself is $15,000, and with medication, imaging, travel, and recovery care, we are estimating approximately $25,000 total. (It's way more expensive in every other location, and these Japanese surgeons pioneered it. If you were curious, here are the costs and locations: $50,000 Florida, $33,000 UK, $31,000 France, $20,000 Abu Dhabi, $15-18,000 Japan)

Mochi is currently stable on medication and is young for this disease at only 7 years old, which gives her an incredible chance at a long, happy life after surgery.

This silent auction is part of our March 7 Beach Day fundraiser in Hermosa Beach.

Items have been generously donated by local South Bay businesses and friends of Mochi.

You must be able to pick up your items before March 10, or between March 16-26. If you need them mailed, you must make arrangements during those dates. Or you risk forfeiting the items.
