Over the next 10 days, from February 19 to March 1, you'll have the opportunity to bid on incredible items generously donated by our Sequoia community. Every bid helps support the Sequoia Fund, directly benefiting our amazing students, the Squirrels!
Your participation plays a crucial role in making a lasting impact on our school, and here’s how your generosity makes a difference:
Physical Education: Your contributions cover 25% of the costs of our PE program, supporting a dedicated PE teacher and providing the equipment and supplies needed to keep our students active, healthy, and engaged.
Gardening Program: Our school garden, which provides hands-on lessons in science, nutrition, and environmental awareness, is fully funded by donations like yours. It’s a place where students grow both plants and knowledge.
Mental Health Services: Your donations fund 60% of the cost of our full-time mental health counselor, ensuring that students receive the emotional support they need to succeed academically and personally.
Teacher Reimbursement Fund: Thanks to your support, we help reimburse teachers for out-of-pocket costs for classroom supplies and resources, allowing them to focus on what they do best—educating our kids.
School Site Supplies: Your contributions allow us to meet the evolving needs of our school, from classroom essentials to new technology and unexpected repairs. Recently, funds raised by our community helped purchase interactive whiteboards for our classrooms.
Community Events: The Back to School BBQ, Bike Day, and Sequoia Movie Nights are just a few of the community events funded by SPTO to bring our Sequoia family together and create lasting memories.
Traffic Safety: SPTO funds ensure that traffic safety supplies like orange flags and signage are in place, helping keep our Squirrels safe before and after school.
