Drums Alive uses the power of movement, music, and rhythm to improve physical, cognitive, social, and emotional health for everyone-every age and every ability! It is a fun, evidence based drumming wellness program for all ages. Per their website, Drums Alive programs are scientifically-proven to positively impact stress and anxiety, athletic ability and reaction times, natural immune system, mood, burnout rate, chronic pain, depression and distress, blood pressure, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's Disease and Strokes, and overall happiness. Not only will this active and fun program impact the music classroom, but also core classes. This is done by incorporating math and reading skills to develop the whole child. Using drums alive has different levels for all learning and physical abilities. Due to its vast use, ESL, special education, life skills and students who do not have use of certain limbs are able to join and learn in the same vast way. This program provides all ways to help these students engage and learn at their own pace. For advanced learning, it allows ways to peer teach and work together on pre demonstrated lessons and their own. The growth and use is vast because of the design being for early childhood to 99 year olds.
