Tools for the Trade- Joshua High School, Mr. Strobl's Construction Class impacting 200 students
"The Tools of the Trade Grant supports the development and expansion of hands-on construction education programs that prepare students for high-demand careers in the skilled trades. This grant will fund essential tools, equipment, and instructional resources for a career-ready construction class here at Joshua High school that empowers learners with practical skills and industry certifications. The goal is to build not just technical abilities—but also confidence, employability, and a path to long-term economic stability. Across the country, construction firms are struggling to find skilled workers. At the same time, many young people lack access to quality vocational training, especially in hands-on fields like construction. In [your location], the trades are growing, but underserved populations—including low-income youth, women, and minorities—are often left out of these lucrative opportunities. Our organization seeks to close this gap by offering a robust construction education program that gives students access to industry tools, real-world projects, and job-ready skills. However, quality instruction requires quality tools—hence the need for the Tools of the Trade Grant.
