The Vassar Haiti Project (VHP) is a collaborative, 501(c)3 nonprofit that engages students in life-changing education about global citizenship by promoting Haitian art and fostering sustainable development in Haiti. We organize art auctions and sales, which support the welfare of hundreds of Haitian artists and fund various initiatives in the mountain village of Chermaitre, Haiti.

                                          Participating in this auction is simple

Just follow these 4 steps:

First:  Log in or register as a Bidder

  • Click here to view items.
    • Alternatively, click on the link (All) under the categories at the top left of this page.
  • Click on any item to view its bidding specifics. Click item image to view it in more detail.

Tip: Click on the heart icon 💚 next to the paintings you're interested in to stay up-to-date on the bid activity of your favorite paintings!
Third:  Place Bids on your Favorite Item(s)
 
  • Select your favorite item(s)
  • Place your bid by submitting an amount in the Bidding Price Box.
    • *Please note the minimum bid increments

Tip: If you enter your maximum bid for the item, it will allow us to automatically enter incremental bids on your behalf, up to your maximum amount.

Tip:  Click "Buy Now!" if you want to bypass the auction bidding process, and make certain you will take home your favorite painting. To ensure timely shipping, please submit payment within 24 hrs of "Buying it Now". Go to "My Account" at the top right corner of this page, and click on "Cart" to checkout.
Finally:  Checkout
 
  • Checkout happens when the auction is over. All bidding will close at 3AM EST, Tuesday Oct. 3, 2023.
  • If you are successful in winning an item, a confirmation invoice will be emailed to you.
  • A shipping fee and NYS tax of 8.13% will be added to each item won.
  • Follow the link in the email and click the CHECKOUT button to pay for winning items.
  • All MAJOR credit cards and PayPal accepted.
  • Payments  must be completed by Oct 7th.
  • You are financially responsible for your top winning bids.

 

All the proceeds from this auction will fund our Education Initiative in Chermaitre, a rural village in northwest Haiti.
